Skullraisers’ Chosen came from the Blood Wastes, a world from which even legends do not return. Once, he was neither savage nor butcher, but a majestic master of a knightly spearhead, lord of armored warriors cast onto a hostile planet with orders to conquer it in the name of distant masters. But contact with the flagship was lost, reinforcements never came, and the order became a curse. Realizing they had been abandoned, the knightly order shattered. Brothers began killing brothers for the right to command what could still be called an army. Discipline rotted, oaths became excuses for duels, and noble banners turned into blood-soaked rags above the camps of marauders.
